Purpose and Objectives of Education (Matsuyama University Graduate School)

Our master’s courses are designed to impart profound knowledge from a broad perspective, developing research skills in specialist fields and the advanced abilities required for jobs that demand high-level specializations.

Our doctor’s courses, including the Clinical Pharmacy Graduate Course, are designed to develop the advanced research skills required to conduct independent research related to specialist fields and the wealth of knowledge that forms the basis of these skills.

Economics Master’s and Doctor’s Course

The educational objective of the Economics Graduate Course is the cultivation of talented individuals able to meet the needs of society while developing and fomenting the abilities needed to theoretically and empirically interpret the various aspects of today’s dramatically changing society. In addition, the course also seeks to cultivate professionals equipped with a high degree of specialization, together with fostering researchers grounded in the acquisition of an abundance of knowledge.

Business Administration Master’s and Doctor’s Course

The educational objective of the Business Administration Graduate Course is cultivating highly specialized professionals and researchers equipped with the abilities needed to solve concrete problems occurring in society’s various domains, leveraging advanced theory and the ability to make practical application of it in the fields of Business Administration, Management Engineering, Accounting, Commercial Science and Industrial Science.

Language and Communication Master’s Course

The educational objective of the Sociology Graduate Courses is to develop professionals with an international perspective who will be able to contribute to the discovery and practical resolution of problems in their workplace and regional community, and researchers who will contribute to research on social issues as well as their resolution. In both courses, students will master advanced specialist knowledge in sociology and capacity for imagination, built on the cultivation of independent citizens.

Sociology Graduate Courses (Master’s Course and Doctor’s Course)

The educational objective of the Sociology Doctor’s Course is cultivating researchers who will contribute to research on social issues as well as their resolution, imparting them with advanced knowledge regarding sociology and techniques for conducting sociological research.

Law Graduate Course (Master’s Course)

The educational objective of the Law Graduate Course is cultivating human resources able to proactively apply advanced specialized legal abilities showing comprehension of an academic researcher’s perspective and the perspective of conducting critical analysis of the current legal system, which is predicated on legal principles, with reference to judicial precedents as well with regard to the construction or reconstruction of regional communities, taking into account qualitative changes in Japanese society.

Clinical Pharmacy Doctor’s Course

The educational objective of the Clinical Pharmacy Graduate Course is the cultivation of talented individuals with advanced specialized knowledge able to provide patients with the optimum pharmaceuticals, capable persons able to use the right pharmaceuticals to solve scientific and sociological problems, and, further, human resources who will be able to tackle the resolution of pathologies and pharmaceutical mechanisms from the perspective of a pharmaceutical researcher.
