Korea:Konkuk University
Konkuk University boasts a history and tradition going back half a century. Konkuk University has grown into a university that aims for internationalization based on its educational principles of “Sincerity, Fidelity, Righteousness.” With two campuses, in Seoul and in the city of Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, it is one of Korea’s top comprehensive private universities, famous for its rich educational environment. With a lake in the middle, the Seoul Campus spreads out over a site that has been harmonized with nature. Today, the university has established a new vision, “Renaissance Konkuk 2031.” It is pouring its efforts into fostering the global human resources who will lead the economy and society, aiming to be one of the top 100 universities globally by 2031. Konkuk University signed an exchange agreement with Matsuyama University in 1998.



Korea:Pyeongtaek University
Pyeongtaek University, located in the city of Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, is a university with both a long history and the dynamism of youth. The university got its start in 1912 in Seoul as the Pierson Memorial Bible Academy, building on the Christian spirit of Dr. Pierson. In 1980, it was granted authorization to become a four-year university, and the following year, 1981, it relocated its buildings from Seoul to Pyeongtaek. It accepted its first intake of students, and was properly launched as a university. In 1992, it was elevated to the comprehensive university of Pierson University, and in 1996, its name was changed to Pyeongtaek University. In this way, the university has continued to develop to this day as a young university with a long history. The only comprehensive university in the region, Pyeongtaek University’s development vision is to be “A university that fulfills the will of the Christian spirit.” Based on the lessons of Truth, Justice, and Service, and while liaising with the local community, it is engaged in cutting-edge education to foster human resources who combine humanity with specialist skills. Recognized as a superior university by the Korean Council for University Education, it is contributing greatly not just to the local area, with the development of university education in Korea. Pyeongtaek University signed an exchange agreement with Matsuyama University in 2006.
